- MIDNIGHT THOUGHT
- There has been a lot going on these days.I have been so happy with MMC taking away the A division league title, after all it's the home team and nothing feels like it. Apart from what's going on in capital, I'm more proud and happy and excited all at same time watching Nepal cricket team playing for ICC t20 cricket world cup. Matter of fact is that I am very less updated with sports. My knowledge regarding the sports in Nepal is limited, well at least that's what I believe. But never had I missed a day when it comes to hooting for my favorite team or my Country. When MMC was playing for the league and it was just a few points behind the title, we were all just keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for that few digits like it's the only thing we have ever wanted so badly. You see the craziness of being so desperately wanting your favorite team to win is beyond any boundaries and when something unfair happens, the craziness gets wild. Even now when I watch the video of the MMC, forever clapping 32 times for Nabin Neupane (who was banned for 1 year by ANFA), letting the reason aside, I feel amazed and the way people have supported him is a matter of great respect. I salute that!!
- Cricket has never been my cup of tea. As far as I remember, I once heard someone saying cricket is a game of fools (with all due respect) and I somewhat believe that because I never understand cricket, all I could see was the batsmen taking runs and I knew more runs means getting close to win the game. Thanks to Nepal cricket team , my enthusiasm to know more about cricket grew more when it all came to ICC t20 World Cup. Never had I been so excited and so eager to know this space if it wasn't for the Nepalese team and the victory over Hong kong was something really BIG to be proud of . I mean, common being able to get till here itself is a matter of pride and Nepal cricket team has done That!!! We live in a country where bandhs and strikes depends on the moods of some political parties and we take that in a developing country like Nepal where infrastructures are so limited, be it in any field, it is something great to talk about our Nepalese getting in a World Cup and watching them waving our Nepali flag in front of the world. It doesn't matter if we win or loss, the spirit of never giving up n moving on is what makes the team alive. I don't say we lack talents or visions to reach at the top but it is indeed true that even when we have so much talents growing in an individual be it a team, we haven't been able to polish them the way they should be. When this is the high time we think of our country's well being, most of the people are busy making their own money and ignoring what can be done for the betterment of the country. When the whole country is rejoicing over the victory and coming together as one to support the country, the Nepal oil corporation increases the price of petrol and the whole country is in agony again. See this is the problem here. We will have protests again. We will have bandhs again if the prices do-not get down and the results will eventually affect everyone. I don't think someone can even think of making his/her offspring something great if he/she has to think twice before feeding them.I don't know if it's the poverty or corruption or other reason being overrated but I do think its a high time we think about what's good for the country rather than thinking the best for ourselves. Nepali timi rahanchau kaha,Nepal narahein.
